Tony Proffitt

Tony is an agricultural scientist and lives and works in Dunsborough in the south west region of Western Australia. He currently works as lecturer at Curtin University and as an agricultural consultant (specialising in the grape and wine industry).

He is also a technical writer, copyeditor and proofreader, with a focus on agriculture/horticulture production systems, the landscape, soils and the environment.

He has co-authored two published text books, one of which won the Organisation Internationale de la Vigne et du Vin (OIV) book of the year award.

He has experience in writing, copyediting, proofreading and style formatting of newsletters, scientific reports, technical manuals and fact sheets, funding applications, and academic and popular journal articles.

At present I do not have any formal qualifications in editing. However, I fully intend to rectify this situation in the near future.
