Barbara Temperton

I am an award-winning Western Australian writer. My works have appeared in journals, newspapers, and anthologies, have been performed live, and broadcast on radio.

My published collections of poetry are: Shorelines (writing as Barbara Brandt with Michael Heald & Roland Leach), Going Feral (WA Premiers Book Award for Poetry 2002), and Southern Edge (all published by Fremantle Press).

I was poetry consultant for the literary journal Westerly (UWA) for three years, and edited nine booklets of the Mid West Heritage Series published by the Geraldton Regional Library (2008-2012), in addition to other freelance editing, manuscript assessments, and book reviews.

I have worked on community writing and theatre projects since 1990, and as a tutor /sessional lecturer in English and Creative Writing courses at the UWA – Albany Centre, Edith Cowan University and Curtin University.
