Robin Bower AE

Robin is an accredited editor and author living in Perth, Western Australia. She has lived in Melbourne, Hong Kong and Kuala Lumpur, and loves travelling especially in Asia. She has a master's degree in creative writing. Her day job is publishing manager in the Western Australian government resources sector. She is a Past President of the Society of Editors (WA) Inc., and past assistant editor of indigo literary journal.

More than 25 years experience in publishing in Australia and overseas. Editing includes primary, secondary, tertiary, business, professional and VET sectors for Longman Australia, Macmillan (Australia), Thomas Nelson, Pitman Publishing Asia Pacific, Pearson Professional Asia Pacific, Macmillan (China), Western Australian Government. Managing editor of three magazines for the jewellery/diamond sector in Hong Kong (in Chinese, Japanese and English); Publications Coordinator of learning resources for VET and K-12 sectors; and currently Manager, Editing and Publishing for resources products with the Western Australian Government. Taught the Writing, Editing and Publishing unit at Curtin University in 2011.

Over 40 titles edited in the areas of maths, English, law, tertiary, professional, business, Pitman, VET, science.

Around 45 articles published in Hong Kong, Perth and Melbourne-based publications: Hong Kong Asia Precious; Hong Kong Trade Development Council’s magazine Enterprise; Hong Kong-based magazine B International and Best of the Best; Australian Book Review; Single Life; Perth Woman, and the West Australian newspaper.
