I started my working life with words as a proofreader on a dual language newspaper in South Africa, in the pre-digital age, after completing a Bachelor of Arts—Archaeology, Social Anthropology, Geography—at the University of Cape Town.

I have worked in public libraries in Australia for over 14 years. During that time I studied towards a Diploma of Library & Information Studies and a Bachelor of Fine Arts at the Northern Territory University.

In 2013 I attained a Diploma of Publishing (Professional Book Editing, Proofreading & Publishing). I can copyedit and proofread a wide range of texts and am working towards becoming an accredited editor.
