Volunteer

The branch is maintained through the efforts of volunteers. Members can contribute in many ways. If you would like to join the committee, lead a networking meeting or offer your expertise at a training seminar please contact the president.

Open positions

Area Position Description
Committee Secretary  The main responsibilities of the Secretary are to write the agenda and to keep full and correct minutes of all meetings.
Committee IPEd Councillor  The main responsibilities of the IPEd Councillor are to participate in monthly conference calls with the IPEd Council, contributing the views and concerns of the branch and its members, and to report to the committee on matters of significance.
Committee Bookworm editor  The main responsibility of the editor of Bookworm is to produce the branch’s monthly newsletter.
Committee General members General members of the committee attend meetings and provide support for branch events and initiatives. It is an introductory role or for those looking for a way to contribute.

Volunteering to be on the committee will broaden your knowledge of professional editing, give you the opportunity to develop skills and introduce you to a wide network of contacts.

The committee currently meets on the first Saturday of every month at 1.30pm at Mount Lawley Senior High School.
